Meet Precious, a survivor Sania rescued from the streets of Ubud. At around 9 months old, she was discovered rummaging through a trash bin, a sad testament to the challenges street dogs face. Precious bore the physical marks of a tough life – her jaw, misaligned, and her teeth, absent, hinted at a possible collision with a vehicle.
Yet, her hardships didn’t end there. Precious was also battling Distemper, a contagious viral disease that wreaks havoc on a dog’s health. Think of it as a canine flu, affecting everything from the respiratory system to the nervous system.
With dedicated care, Precious not only conquered Distemper but also defied the odds of her past. Today, she’s a resident at our sanctuary, a living proof of resilience and the transformative impact of compassion. Her story, though succinct, echoes the strength that can emerge from even the most challenging circumstances.
